3 Wings at 3 different price points in the 303. ($)

Our last place on our journey was definitely one to remember, Monkey Barrel. The decor and atmosphere in this one was unmatched. A whole wall of old school pinball machines, booths with Nintendo 64s loaded with Mario Cart. A ton of outdoor seating with a patio and a parking lot converted into picnic tables, with a spot to play cornhole and a big version of connect four.

Now to get to the food… we ordered the boneless wings with the Thai Asian sauce, a Nashville hot chicken sandwich with fries, and some chips & queso. 
The sandwich was good, not very hot, which worked out for the my older kiddo. Wings were okay, sauce was a good combo of spicy and sweet. 
Here was our choice for the best:
Kiddo 1:Fire On The Mountain
“ FOTM had the best wings but had the most fun at Monkey Barrel.”
Kiddo 2: Mono Mono Korean Fried Chicken 
“Best chicken but Monkey Barrel had the best French Fries.” Apparently he was judging French Fries 😂
Hubby: Fire On The Mountain 
“Had the best wings but think the best value was Mono Mono.”
Myself: Fire On The Mountain
Has the best wings, Mono Mono KFC had the best value, and Monkey Barrel had the best atmosphere.

My kids love helping pick out the cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts, bread, and crackers for these boards. My oldest can rack up the bill quickly, the next thing I know we have every cheese from the shelf in the cart.  We had my parents over for a summer dinner last week and decided to make a Spanish charcuterie board, super easy to get and put together. On this board we use the Spanish Tapas Sampler, Spanish Deli Meat Combo, Champagne Grapes, Rainier Cherries, Garlic Stuffed Olives, Seasoned Almonds, and Baguette (sliced).

Spooky Gingerbread House

On our last trip to Trader Joe’s my son spotted this spooky house kit and well just had to get it. It actually turned out to be a great project… was a little worried because I’m a bit of a perfectionist, I usually have to remind myself they are kids and art is in the eye of the beholder.  I built the house with him as it was difficult for him to keep the pieces up when attaching the next piece. Once we got the house up we let it sit and let the frosting harden a bit before attempting to decorate it. He had so much fun adding all the little candy pieces to it and wanted to explain how he decorated it when he was finished.  It was definitely worth the money, a fun activity for the kids and got them in the holiday spirit!
